What Are the Steps Involved?
You can email your floor plan to info@fpk.com.au or you can also drop off a copy to us at our showroom between 9am and 4pm Monday to Friday.
The drawing doesn’t have to be perfect or to scale, just a rough sketch with the length and height of all walls.
Please also include the location of plumbing/electrics, doorways and windows. Click to see an example of a floor plan.
We will schedule a free consultation meeting with a designer (in person or over the phone), where we will go over the design with you to fully understand your vision for the space.
Our staff are experienced designers and will produce a functional and visually pleasing design to suit the space and your individual needs. Our custom sized cabinets give us a lot of freedom to design something that fits your room precisely.
Walk-ins are welcome, however we recommend calling ahead of time to ensure our designers will be able to give you and your project the time you deserve.
Consultation meetings via phone call are available upon request.
During this process we will go over your full design with you and lock in your final decisions on style, colours and finishes.
This includes doors, bench tops and handles.
We will confirm specifications of all accessories to be included- Soft-close hinges and runners, sinks, taps, rubbish/recycling/green waste bins, laundry hampers, fold out ironing boards, hanging rails and supports, inner drawers for pantries, wireware such as lazy susans and blind corner pull out baskets.
Once we have confirmed all selections we can finalise your project quote. Quotes are valid for 6 months, (unless preselected colours/finishes are discontinued during that time.)
Once you are happy with your quote and have paid a deposit, We will book in a professional check measure and site visit to ensure everything will fit as intended.
This service is only available in metropolitan Adelaide.
If you live outside of Adelaide our staff will help guide you over the phone/email to give us the critical measurements required.
Once final measurements have been confirmed, no design alterations can be made.
Once your DIY flat pack job is ready, it’s time for you to pick it up from our workshop with a suitable vehicle and/or trailer.
Then the fun starts, it is time to install!
With a drill, spirit level and a bit of confidence you can bring your design vision to life in your own home.
We supply full instructions and provide an after hours number for follow-up assistance and troubleshooting.
We are also happy to provide a quote on installation- limited spots available each month within the Adelaide Metropolitan area.
Quality
- Cabinets/Carcasses are manufactured using 16mm white High Moisture Resistant (HMR) particle board. All cabinets include 16mm white HMR particle board backs, sides and bases. All shelf supports, assembly screws, door hinges, drawer runners and adjustable legs are supplied.
- No ply board used in cabinets. They have 16mm sides, backs and bases.
- We use BLUM(tm) for hinges and drawer runners. Lifetime Warranty.
- Drawers have 16mm backs and bases.
- Vinyl wrap doors have 5 years limited warranty. Doors are manufactured from moisture resistant (MR) 18mm MDF Board.
- High Impact Edge doors have 5 years limited warranty. Doors and Panels are manufactured from moisture resistant (MR) 16mm pre-finished melamine board. Edges are 1mm high impact resistant pvc.
- Laminate benchtops have 5 years limited warranty. Benchtops are produced on 33mm white single sided High Moisture Resistant (HMR) particle board.
